Swedish tech company among the world's hundred hottest
Hakan Dacke Inlet 2001 was known as the building contractor who in handwritten world factory manufactured first heat insulating lightweight concrete. In 2006 he was elected to the Swedish Inventors Academy, but it was only in 2012 that the idea was born to the now world-publicized Wittra .
It was during a walk around Long Lake that Hakan noticed an abandoned bicycle in mint condition and was struck by the thought that any technology should be able to track it back to the rightful owner:
I quickly realized that a GPS tracking sensor would run out of batteries in no time. But I couldn't stop thinking that there must be some technology that positions the object without having to go through a satellite, says Håkan.
Scientists: "It's impossible!"
Hakan realized that only an old narrowband technology could solve the task. He took with him the idea for his research contacts who reacted with skepticism and spontaneously condemned the idea as technically impossible, but Hakan stood firm:
- I asked them to sort out exactly what was impossible with the idea, they came up with a total of thirteen points. We went through them one by one until all the points were underlined. Then I said to them: Well, now you have actual evidence that it is possible < / em>, which puts you started to work!
The result was 51 patents and patent protects a unique positioning technology which by means of tags attached to obekt can track how far the object is from a base station >. Position and any other sensor data sent to the cloud continuously and may be presented in an app.
Internet of Things Moving
something that had not been possible with GPS signals cannot penetrate a building's roof and walls.
We are Contacted almost daily by international companies who do not want to be late in embracing the possibilities of new technology.
Upcoming technical revolution
The first preparations for an IPO have been made and we are eagerly awaiting the market's response to the launch of the new concept in Q1 2018 , concludes Håkan.
The award given Indications That a new Swedish tech giant ice on the rise and Wittra Should go the same way as Spotify and Skype Also whichwere awarded the Red Herring Award before Their major international breakthrough. Where the Wittra story leads us, we can only speculate, but Clearly in Which case the tech industry is meeting an eventful 2018.
